The most exciting project I have been sent was being able to reconstruct this dress into my own design. The dress I used to reconstruct my own design was a discontinued dress so this project was sustainable as old dresses were recycled. The project's rules were to only use fabric from the discontinued dress and to be as creative as possible.

I started by gathering inspiration on Pinterest making a board full of wedding dresses that had different aspects that I wanted to add to my own design. I then started sketching out my design, and I wanted it to have distinct changes from the original dress, making it unique. Some of the more apparent changes I added were an illusion neckline, low back, and sheath skirt. Also, I made an accessory for my dress which was a detachable train and a bow. The detachable train could be attached by hooks and loops that I added and the bow was also removable by poppers. I was very happy with my design and it took two days (14 hours) to complete. It was a big accomplishment and my dress is now on the shop floor of the Brighouse store ready to be tried on and bought by customers.
